Healthcare Complex of Mohan Ousmane, Diocese of Kolda, Senegal.
On this blessed day, in the village of Mohan Ousmane, located 15 km from Kolda*, the foundation stone was laid for the Socio-Healthcare Complex of the Brothers of Saint John of God a work of charity and service rooted in the Order’s charism of compassion.
This initiative is in perfect alignment with the declarations of the 2024 General Chapter, which emphasized the promotion of mental health as an emerging priority.
Religious Leadership
The ceremony was held under the spiritual authority of Monsignor Jean-Pierre BASSENE, Bishop of the Diocese of Kolda, represented by Father Bernard D. BOIRO, Parish Priest of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victories.
It was presided over by the Reverend Brother Paulinus Toh Kisan, Provincial Superior of the Province of Saint Augustine of Africa, accompanied by:

This solemn act marks a historic milestone in the hospital mission of the Order in Senegal, in service to the most vulnerable, in the spirit of Saint John of God.
